Please keep windows closed for the duration of the repairs to prevent dust and water from entering units. Residents may choose to seal off the interiors of windows with painter's tape for further protection, and close curtains, shades or blinds for privacy.
Phase 7 exterior work will begin on Buildings 20 (01 and 02 bedroom facade facing Bldg 22, and 02 facade facing the north big parking lot), 22 (03 and 04 bedroom stacks facing the north big parking lot), 24 (05 stack facing Glebe Rd), and 26 (01 and 02 bedroom facades facing the custodian's office).
Please keep windows closed for the duration of the repairs to prevent dust and water from entering units. Residents may choose to seal off the interiors of windows with painter's tape for further protection, and close curtains, shades or blinds for privacy. The concrete company has informed us they will begin moving in equipment for sidewalk repairs at 7 am on Monday, June 6, and will, hopefully, finish up on June 7. In preparation for the work, please do not park in the small lot next to 30, or in the lot between 20 and 26 for the duration of the repairs. Any vehicles that remain on those lots will be subject to towing at owner expense.
Mark your calendars for an Arbors Courtyard Gathering on Saturday, June 18 at 4:30 pm. Chow down and chat with your neighbors! Sign-up sheets are posted in the lobbies.

A common area carpet cleaning project will start on April 21 and end April 22, 2016. The work will be completed between 8am and 5:30pm. With recently painted walls and cleaned carpets, we hope this will freshen up the hallways and welcome Spring!
Please refrain from putting rice, pasta, coffee grounds, bones, pits and seeds, egg shells, fruits, vegetables, potatoes and peels, construction/renovation materials, etc. down drains or garbage disposals to reduce chances of backups, which can have expensive consequences. Throw all appropriate items in the trash, or dispose of in an otherwise suitable manner, instead.
Do not pour fat, oil or grease down drains or garbage disposals. Put hot grease and oil in a metal can, let it solidify, then throw it in the trash. Use a paper towel to wipe grease off pans before washing. Arlington County recommends keeping drains clean by pouring 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain followed by 1/2 cup vinegar. Wait 10-15 minutes and then rinse with hot water. Please note that pipes that serve a single unit only (even those not visible from within the unit) are a unit owner responsibility. Thank you! Please visit the Arlington County Website for comprehensive and evolving information:
https://health.arlingtonva.us/covid-19-coronavirus-updates/ New recycling bins have been provided in the lobbies for unwanted junk mail, and in laundry rooms for recyclable paper and empty small bottles and cans.
Please do not put trash, liquids, or hazardous materials in these bins, and continue to dispose of your regular household recycling in the proper bins next to the dumpsters in the parking lots. Information on recycling requirements in Arlington can be found at: http://arborsofarlington.weebly.com/information/arlington-county-recycling-information Sidewalk crew has reportedly been stuck in traffic. Hopefully, clearing will begin later tonight, but more likely in earnest, tomorrow (Sunday), when the main roads in theory become more passable. Parking lot crew has made a few runs in the lots. Roof crew was able to begin their work after a delay due to inaccessible routes. Thanks to the mystery resident who made attempts to shovel some of the walks!
FYI: Snow melt in the buckets by the entrances is provided for residents to sprinkle on icy, or potentially icy, patches of bare pavement for porches, steps, and sidewalks, when appropriate. Snow crews typically do not come out for accumulation of less than two inches. When there is a big snow, please refrain from using the ice melt until after crews have properly shoveled and treated the areas. (For example, sometimes there can be unexpected refreeze, or areas that turn out to need a little more product after the crew has left the site.) Especially in very cold temperatures, application of ice melt only, and/or without snow removal, is a waste of product (and effort) and can make areas more slippery if not used as recommended. A reminder that the ice melt is provided as an attempt to help make walkways in our community safer and more accessible; it is not intended for use involving personal property. Thanks for your assistance and patience during this significant weather event! The County will post Special Event permit signs on S Old Glebe Road and 2ND Street South. The restriction for street parking will be on Wednesday, January 27th from 8AM to 10PM.

8:30 am-3:00 pm Free event for Arlington residents. (Bring proof of residency.) Dispose of household hazardous materials, bikes, small metal items, TV's, shoes, clothing, and other recyclable items. August 5-9, 2015. For more information about the Fair: http://arlingtoncountyfair.us/ Typically, the Fair has provided us with a limited number of street-parking passes. Residents who have second vehicles registered at Arbors can request these passes from the property management company on a first-come, first-served basis. Registered vehicles with Arbors permanent parking permits are asked to park in the lots to leave room on the street for their neighbors with second vehicles. Sorry, no street passes are available for visitors. There are five visitor spots available in the big lot; visitors will need to give the security guard specific Building and Unit information related to the person they are visiting to gain access to the lot to protect the spaces from general fair-goers. CWI will be blocking off the two small lots and areas between 20 and 26, and between 26 and 30 from 7am-5pm, daily, M-F likely into October. To avoid bodily injury to persons or pets, and/or damage to personal possessions, be safe and do not park vehicles or enter the areas where work is taking place. ALSO NOTE THAT ARLINGTON COUNTY HAS POSTED NO PARKING NOTICES REGARDING A SUMMER REPAVING PROJECT ON OLD GLEBE RD.
Phase 6 exterior work will begin on the south sides of Buildings 20 (05 and 06 stacks) and 26 (03 and 04 stacks).
Please keep windows closed for the duration of the repairs to prevent dust and water from entering units. Residents may choose to seal off the interiors of windows with painter's tape for further protection, and close curtains, shades or blinds for privacy. After completion of the south sides, the work will shift to the entire east sides of Buildings 20 and 26 (facing Old Glebe Road/TJ) to clean and apply a sealant coat to those facades. Building 30’s retaining wall will be the final project in Phase 6 to occur, likely in late August or early September. Plantings closest to the wall will have to be removed in preparation for that mobilization. Lower level of TJ Middle School (across the street on S. Old Glebe Rd)
