CWI will be blocking off the two small lots and areas between 20 and 26, and between 26 and 30 from 7am-5pm, daily, M-F likely into October. To avoid bodily injury to persons or pets, and/or damage to personal possessions, be safe and do not park vehicles or enter the areas where work is taking place. ALSO NOTE THAT ARLINGTON COUNTY HAS POSTED NO PARKING NOTICES REGARDING A SUMMER REPAVING PROJECT ON OLD GLEBE RD.
Phase 6 exterior work will begin on the south sides of Buildings 20 (05 and 06 stacks) and 26 (03 and 04 stacks).
Please keep windows closed for the duration of the repairs to prevent dust and water from entering units. Residents may choose to seal off the interiors of windows with painter's tape for further protection, and close curtains, shades or blinds for privacy. After completion of the south sides, the work will shift to the entire east sides of Buildings 20 and 26 (facing Old Glebe Road/TJ) to clean and apply a sealant coat to those facades. Building 30’s retaining wall will be the final project in Phase 6 to occur, likely in late August or early September. Plantings closest to the wall will have to be removed in preparation for that mobilization. Lower level of TJ Middle School (across the street on S. Old Glebe Rd)

*Rescheduled to March 30 due to rain and wet conditions.
Weather permitting, Lancaster has scheduled March 27, 2015 as the day they will begin working on the spring groundskeeping. *UPDATE: Hot water and gas have been fully restored.
Details follow in chronological order: Washington Gas turned the gas main off in Building 30 on Sunday (3/15) after investigating a report by a resident of a gas smell. As a result, WG cut off the gas to the hot water heaters housed in 30 for all of the buildings without ascertaining the cause of the smell. For safety reasons, the gas cannot be turned back on in Bldg 30 until the cause of the gas smell is determined, which means that there will be no hot water to ALL buildings until the common areas and all units in 30 are appropriately inspected. Buildings 20, 22, 24, 26 still have gas available for stoves and gas dryers; just no hot water. Building 30 has no gas available at all. Residents in 30 should contact AMV immediately to provide all possible contact info/any updated info. Owners/residents are in process of being contacted. Access must be provided to the units in 30 in order to address the concern and restore the hot water as quickly as possible. Any units in 30 with older gas stoves that may have a pilot light, as opposed to electronic ignition, will also have to be inspected before the gas to 30 can be turned back on. UPDATE: Hot water may occur sporadically on Monday as they work through a solution to reinstate the gas. Hot water is expected to be restored fully on Tuesday, barring any unforeseen events. UPDATE: (Tues.) Hot water has been restored via a bypass. Gas for stoves and dryers remains off in 30. UPDATE: Tomorrow (3/18), the gas will be turned on to begin testing the gas lines in Building 30. Residents/owners in 30 (especially any with older gas stoves with pilot lights) should make themselves readily available via the contact information they have provided in the event that workers need access to the units. Older gas stoves with pilot lights, as opposed to electronic ignition, must be professionally inspected. If gas were to be detected, the gas main to the stoves and dryers would again be shut off in Building 30. In the event that gas is detected, units additionally may be ventilated by opening the kitchen windows. Please make sure gas ovens/stoves in Building 30 remain off until further notice. This process could take a few days to ensure that the gas can be safely turned on. Thank you for your patience. UPDATE: Workers will continue testing gas lines in the lower levels (boiler, basement, crawlspaces) on Thursday 3/19) to ensure that there are no active leaks. On Friday (3/20/15) from approximately 12pm-3pm, only residents/owners who have stoves/ovens with a pilot light will be contacted in order to gain access to their units. They anticipate turning the gas back on permanently by late Friday afternoon (3/20/15), barring unexpected events. UPDATE: Gas has been restored to all units in Building 30, as of Friday, 3/20/15. Residents are asked to report any possible issues to Engelking/AMV. PestNow Superior Pest Management has offered to treat five units per month on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact management for further information.

August 6-10, 2014. For more information about the Fair: http://arlingtoncountyfair.us/ Typically, the Fair has provided us with a limited number of street-parking passes. Residents who have second vehicles registered at Arbors can request these passes from the property management company on a first-come, first-served basis. Registered vehicles with Arbors permanent parking permits are asked to park in the lots to leave room on the street for their neighbors with second vehicles. Sorry, no street passes are available for visitors. There are five visitor spots available in the big lot; visitors will need to give the security guard specific Building and Unit information related to the person they are visiting to gain access to the lot to protect the spaces from general fair-goers. Monday, June 23, 2014 7 pm Registration begins at 6:30 pm. We must have a minimum of 25% participation in person or by proxy to conduct this required meeting. On May 12, 2014 Lancaster is scheduled to begin a major overhaul of the landscaping to include significant pruning of bushes on the property. The pruning may initially seem drastic, but is necessary to revive and improve the long-term aesthetic of the plants. They will also begin work on a date to be determined on the center area in the courtyard to remove invasive plants, as well as the little tree, which has canker, and to reset the cypress and boulders for a more maintained look. Hopefully, the juniper shrub can be saved to replant elsewhere.
